Everyone is figuring out how to use AI to do their jobs more effectively. We’re no different. We’re using a variety of AI tools to drive efficiency through our innovation process, helping us with research, prototyping, go-to-market testing and more. There are a lot of tools out there and more launching every day.
Eventually, we started to build our own internal AI tools. Why? Because we wanted to infuse them with “the Highline Beta Way”--a combination of methodologies, processes, tools, knowledge, creativity and a bit of magic--all of which makes us who we are, reflects on how we work and what we do.
After a few proof of concepts, a ton of experimentation and some elbow grease, we built something that we think is:
We started using the tool we built (“eating our own dog food”, or as we prefer, “drinking our own champagne”), interacting with it through Slack, brainstorming with it online, and then thought, “Maybe others would find this interesting and valuable?”
PAIGE stands for Practical AI For Innovation, Growth & Execution. Cool acronym. It’s also a cool name!
PAIGE is our AI Innovation Companion--the newest member of the Highline Beta team. She’s still pretty new at this venture building stuff, but she’s got some skills!
You can connect with PAIGE and talk about your innovation projects, specifically at the stage where you’ve got an identified problem or opportunity and need help validating it. We haven’t trained her on earlier or later stages in the process, but she’s pretty good at what we call the Discover Phase.
PAIGE is a bit of a linear thinker--but she’s getting better all the time. We’re training her regularly, and bringing her up to speed on “the Highline Beta Way”, so she can become more knowledgeable and capable. While talking to PAIGE, she’ll share our best practices and resources that can be valuable for any innovation project.
One other benefit: PAIGE is free to use.
You can talk to PAIGE about a real innovation project you’re working on, completely securely. Or, talk to her about methodologies & best practices without sharing any specifics. You can make up a project and interact with her, which will give you a feel for how Highline Beta approaches innovation challenges and venture building. Today, the only way to interface with PAIGE is through web chat, but we’re setting up her email address soon. 🙂
PAIGE isn’t meant to replace people, she’s there to enhance the work you do. We don’t believe you can take the creativity, taste and instincts out of the innovation process, despite our belief in following a rigorous methodology. At the intersection of methodology/process and instinct is where the magic happens.
Innovators, founders and builders aren’t going to be replaced, but they can be super-powered through AI. Instead of running two experiments, you’ll run twenty. Instead of spending a week doing secondary research, you’ll spend a few hours. More efficiency means increased velocity and frequency going through the “build -> measure -> learn” cycle, which increases the likelihood of building something people want, getting traction and creating value.
Right now we’re only allowing corporate innovators access to PAIGE as she is configured to assist them with their unique needs.
